Susan Ensenat May

I am a retired teacher and science nerd who loves to be outside and tinker. Auto-May-Tons combine all my passions which include nature, building, painting, rocks and minerals, wire sculpture, recycling, and more!

My Auto-May-Tons are meant to be interactive; turn a crank and something (or somethings) happen. To find out about my process, scroll down to see the steps that I go through to end up with a functioning Auto-May-Ton.

I also paint and create jewelry. Check out more pictures and videos by clicking here: Auto-May-Ton Art.

Nature's Creatures in Artistic Machines

Explore my unique sculptures of flapping birds, bats, and bugs, intricately designed using wire, hardware, and natural materials, celebrating the harmony between art and sustainability. Human interaction required!

Jewelry and Sculpture

Polished stones, beads, wire, jump rings, and more are used to create my jewelry and sculptures.

Paintings

I started out painting and drawing, but quickly progressed to other endeavors that allowed me to tinker!
